The Listening Lab and Advanced Bionics introduced its newest processor, the Marvel CI; sharing the same technology with one of the most successful Phonak devices, Phonak Marvel. The event was held Friday, 10th March 2023 at Hilton Orchard.
Attendees came from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital, Changi General Hospital, Ng Teng Fong Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Woodland’s Health, Novena ENT, D&S Audiology, Dr. Lynne Lim Ear Nose Throat and Hearing Center, Clariti and Kind Hearing.
Together with the product launch of Marvel CI, The Listening Lab also launched the innovative PATH MEDICAL GmbH range of audiological equipment – having received approval from the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore which was introduced to the entirety of audiologists in Singapore. Path Medical’s dedication to innovation for audiological equipment will change the very core of how every audiology centre is set up in the future, as it utilizes a software-licensed based system in a minute form factor to deliver diagnostic quality audiological tests such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABRs), Otoacoustic Emission measurements (OAEs) and even Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential tests (VEMPs). Among the Pathmed products that were introduced was the Sentiero Advance, Nano-Tymp and the Q Screen.
In addition to that, a live interview was conducted by Eda Chen, Advanced Bionics’ Clinical Manager for South East Asia, with a current user of Marvel CI, Mr. Edward T. He shared his experience using Marvel and by comparing it with the previous processor, Naida Q. He shared with everyone that Marvel helps his daily life with the connectivity, enabling him to attend online meetings, owing to the improved speech clarity it provides. It gave him confidence to interact with people without any hesitation and skepticism. He also mentioned that the quality was so robust that he could use the processor while jogging, exercising, and for other outdoor activities.
